LARGE BATH
There are two bathrooms in the apartment, neither of which are very big. This, the largest, is a little less than 50 ft². In order to maximize space, we completely rearranged the bathroom fixtures. We moved the bathtub to under the window and placed the toilet and sink where the bathtub used to be. Both the white wall tile and the black floor tile are rectified porcelain from Azulejos Peña.
The original bathroom felt very long and narrow. It had a hideous beige tile floor and aqua tile walls. There was water damage from the communal sewage pipe requiring us to not just remove the tile, but to open all the walls as well.
The choice of white tile and fixtures, mixed with the silver accents, and the grey-green colors on the wall, make the bathroom seem larger and more light filled. The sink is suspended from the wall, and the cabinet underneath is movable. The door has sandblasted safety glass for privacy.
